IMCF's all-volunteer training staff is here to serve you. ALWAYS feel free to approach any of us for coaching assistance or general questions. Although we don't run formal classes like many CF affiliates, you can almost always find one of us in the Bubble or organizing small group sessions.

I am a retired Marine working as a seminar leader contractor at the "Red Team" University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies. I discovered CrossFit in 2005 from an article in Outside magazine. The article described "Murph." I gave it a shot and was hooked. I co-founded Iron Major with Dave Maxwell in 2008.

I am a Military Intelligence Officer assigned to HHC, 705th MP BN.  I started CrossFit in 2007 while in college.  I kept at it until I was injured while training for SFAS in 2012 and was told I would never run, lift, or be 100% functional again.  I did not like that diagnosis and have used CrossFit and yoga to reahibilitate myself.  I currently can perform all lifts, properly scaled, and am back to 90% of what I could do before the injury.  I enjoy the community aspect and the motivation that other suffering individuals provide during a workout.

I am an Army aviation officer and student at the School of Advanced Military Studies. My company commander introduced me to Crossfit during a deployment to Afghanistan in 2010. The variance of exercises and excitement of learning new skills lured me in and the community has kept me coming back.

I'm a Military Police Corrections NCO assigned to the USDB. I started CrossFit in 2011 after I saw my wife compete. I said it looked like fun and something that we can do together as a family, and since starting my APFT score has increased every time I’ve taken it. I earned my trainer certificate in October 2013. I enjoy working out around people, because it’s more fun that doing it alone.

Before I started CrossFit, my fitness experience included: soccer, gymnastics, running track, weightlifting, powerlifting, belly dancing, Zumba, Yoga, and aerobic kickboxing. After trying CrossFit, I discovered that it was exactly what I was missing in my fitness journey. Unlike my other workouts, CrossFit incorporated constantly varied movements and multiple physical skills into high intensity daily workouts. I enjoy the daily challenge with every workout, and the best part is sharing that experience with friends.

I am an intelligence officer at CGSC for SAMS. Before CrossFit, I was primarily a runner, competing in distances from 5k to marathon. I started with Iron Major CrossFit in July 2016 to help prevent running injuries, become a more well-rounded athlete, and due to my interest in health and fitness. I found that I enjoy the variety, accountability, and camaraderie even more than running!

I am an active duty Soldier stationed at Fort Leavenworth for the AMSP at SAMS. I began CrossFit in 2014 and became a level 1 trainer in September 2016. While the workouts are always challenging and exciting, I enjoy the community of people at Iron Major CrossFit most. The coaches and the athletes that attend are a great group of people that keep others coming back for more!

I am a recently retired Infantryman with 32 years of service. I started CrossFit in 2010 as a means to change up the standard Army fitness routine. In 2011 I walked into the IMCF box and have been hooked ever since. The intensity, mobility and communal aspects of CrossFit keep me engaged.
