Iron Major CrossFit – Level 1 Scholarship Information

The Level 1 Trainer Course is an introductory course on CrossFit's (CF) methodology, concepts, and movements that is certified and conducted by CF HQ. The discounted cost for military personnel is $800. Upon completing a Level 1 CF Trainer Course, attendees will have the CF accreditation and sufficient foundation from which to continue independent and successful development as a CF trainer or athlete. Additionally, The CF Level 1 Course is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The course will be conducted at Fort Leavenworth 17 - 18 November 2012.

The Purpose of providing CF Level 1 Scholarships* is:

- to certify officers as CF Level 1 coaches that will have a measurable impact in his/her future assignments.

- to become actively involved with IMCF while assigned at Ft. Leavenworth.

* You must be an ILE or SAMS student to compete for and receive a scholarship.

Requirements if awarded a scholarship
1. Coach in at least one IMCF sponsored Foundations class.
2. Participate in at least one series of IMCF sponsored Coach's Clinics.
3. Help with at least one of the following:
            A910 Class, PAIR Day, public relations, t-shirt/hoodie sales, web design/maintenance, and other duties.
4. Habitually organize and lead small groups during your PT time i.e. you can't become a 'lone wolf'.  You are responsible for helping others as they come into the CF community.
5. Participate in at least one Team WOD a month (multiple times available during the prescribed day).
6. Actively post on the IMCF blog site at least several times a week.
