July 14 2012 Foundations Class

If you want to start doing CrossFit, you're just getting into the workouts, are are interested and want to know the basics of CrossFit, you can't miss the Foundations class. The next class will be Saturday, 14 July 2012 from 0830 - 1230.

Fundamentals classes teach the basic movements and nutrition which underpin all CrossFit training. Teaching these movements takes one four hour class and will help you safely complete and therefore enjoy the Iron Major CrossFit workout of the day (WOD). Fundamentals classes are done in small groups which enables detailed individual coaching. There is no obligation from completing these classes.

We're going to do a short coaches clinic on Thursday morning (28 June) at 0630 for not more than 30 minutes. The plan is to identify the speaking roles and the primary and assistant instructor teams. The thought is that all the instructors should teach at least one of the fundamental movements, with a goal of getting some experience for the newer coaches with the oversight of the more experienced folks. We'll have at least one more coaches clinic in July as the class approaches.
