“Hope”
Three rounds of:
Burpees
75 pound Power snatch
Box jump, 24" box
75 pound Thruster
Chest to bar Pull-ups

"Hope" has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of "rotate," the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

Great WOD today! What a way to finish off my time with IMCF. Best of luck to everyone in their future assignments. I will continue to monitor from Fort Campbell.

Great turnout this morning! I liked being able to meet all the new people and hear how they were all invited by someone from IMCF. Lets keep it up. Crossfit For Hope WOD: 341. Burpees Suck. Cancer Sucks More.

John R.- thanks for coming in this morning to share one last event with us. We had a terrific group this morning (around 20 athletes). We'd like to get back to having these types of numbers as WODs are always better, times faster, more weight lifted, etc. when you are in a group. CrossFit is as much about the community as it is the workout. Thanks to Ed for putting this one together and thanks to Jacob for suggesting it.

233 for me. Not a huge score but as I look across my scores I was consistent throughout. Thanks Mike for grading me; sorry you had to go alone after.

If you haven't been posting I encourage you to start doing it. Include comments about your improvements, successes, scaling, what went well, what didn't go well, etc. If you are self-conscious about your score then don't post it; just comment on the WOD and anything else you'd like to address. But you shouldn't be self-conscious about your score. We're all there to get better and all you have to do is be better than you were yesterday i.e. one more rep, one more second, one more pound than the last time.

166. Scaled to 65 lbs on snatch and thruster. Shouldn't have scaled on the snatch but, it made life easier on the thrusters. Scaled to standard kipping pull-ups. It is rare to say this but, burpees seemed to be the easy part... probably because they were first

199. The soft box really helped on box jumps when tired, sort of a scale.
Good luck and goodbye to all moving on!
Great to meet some new crossfitters today! Hope to see you all again in the bubble.

IMCF Hohenfels:

I'm doing this WOD tomorrow (Friday) here in Germany. I'll submit my score, but need to know how to get credit for the fund raiser. I marked IMCF as my affiliate.

164 was my score. First time doing "HOPE", I looking forward to improving my score. Thanks for all of the great motivation this morning! I have been complaining to myself for a while but does anyone know why the bubble can't be open on at min SAT mornings for weekend use?

Kurt - about 18 or 24 months ago the bubble used to be open for the same hours as Harney i.e. until 2100hrs and weekend hours. In an effort to save money (energy costs) garrison conducted a 'study' (I'm not sure how well planned it and executed it was) on the usage of the bubble versus the hours it was open. They determined that keeping the bubble open past 1830 and on weekends was not worth the cost of heating/cooling/staffing it.

We've engaged garrison leadership several times to expand the evening hours and open on weekends during momths where heating/cooling isn't an issue; we've not been successful. Their position is understandable considering budget requirements, but it still affects us. On a related note, it's very important that we all sign in when we go to the bubble every time becasue that is how they track usage. We need to demonstrate usage to keep the hours we currently have.

Scott - I'm not sure how to get credit for the fundraising for Hope. Jacob or Ed: can you help out?

I know I have some donation money, so I'll look into this tomorrow and get back. Scott what exactly are you looking for? So that I know what I'll be looking into.

I totally forgot to write down my score at the end. Such a killer WOD and a great way to end my IMCF time. Will miss the bubble and the great community! Thanks to all for all of the great encouragement and coaching.

IMCF (Great Place Detachment)...did Hope with Ross this morning. 168 reps. When that third round of thrusters came up I was completely out of gas. Stared at the bar for a few seconds before I could even pick it up.

Those down at Ft. Hood..where are you guys doing your workouts? I went to Burba this morning. Planning on Abrams Monday morning when I get off shift as a couple of my teammates want to swim laps. I'm supporting OG-F on the night shift covering 4th MEB. Based on posted workouts I go between here and crossfitmoms due to pregnancy though.
