Skill:
One-Arm Thrusters: don't worry, we offer this as an example of what the elite athletes have done - we're looking for one-arm "dumbbell" thrusters for the WOD - impressive video though!

WOD:
4x5 KB/DB Thrusters (one arm) 35/65

rest 3 min then:
4 Rounds for Time -
3 Power Cleans (95/135)
6 Front Squats (95/135)
12 Chest to Ground Push Ups

Im bringing my husband in the morning...is anyone available to help him out? He is being open minded in coming as he is kind of anti CF. He just got the ok to do whatever from his surgeon for his shoulder but still has to watch his back. Looking to get in there around 0600.

IMCF Hohenfels:

Inspired by the video, I did the one-arm thrusters with 65lb barbell.

4:35 as Rx'd for the triplet

I also wanted to try the one-arm barbell thrusters. At 65 lbs, they offered good awareness of body positioning and balance - I enjoyed this exercise.

4:45 for the rest, I was slow on the front squats and did hand-release pushups instead of chest to ground ... oops.

Of note slivered almond are not as good in coffee as they are on fruit salad.

Enjoyed working KB thrusters a lot more than regular thrusters!

9:18 on the WOD @ 85#. I've NEVER front squatted more than 65#, so I'm ok that I was slow. Had to put the bar down in rds 3/4, so I got to work on my cleans. :-) Probably should have done the cleans at 95# and used two bars. Thanks for the encouragement, Ed, Soraya, Erin, Rich, etc.

7:22 Started @ 95# but dropped to 85# halfway through rd 2 - could feel I wasn't getting low enough on the FS. Too heavy for me.

Heavy weights and push ups....two things I despise in one work out. Good one Meg!

I agree with Ed. I really enjoyed the 1 arm thrusters! 4:40 RXd on the WOD!

So I didn't do the WOD completely- I spent the morning running my husband through the standard warmup and showing him the equipment before working on the one arm thrusters and front squats with the PVC pipe for form with him. Thank you Rich and Meg for helping him this morning- he says he will come back with me and keep going!

3:38 for the WOD.

I did KB Thrusters, but after watching Ed and Wade, I'm going to give the 1-arm Barbell Thrusters a try.

Good WOD

Great video...
I worked 1 Arm thrusters with KB, and Straight bar. Did not do the WOD since I have the PT Test tomorrow and after Tabatta PUs yesterday thought I should take a day off those. Did Skill work on DL, Cleans, OHS, Front Squats and Snatches just to get the heart pumping... I will have to make this one up later in the week..

4:14. Great WOD. Also tried the OH DB thrusters with 45lbs. Went better than expected.

Jess, welcome back from tdy! Great to see your husband joining in too. I think in the summer a small group of us will get in at 6 instead of 5:30 so hopefully we can meet up more.
