111811 FRIDAY

Team Karen

300 WB for Time

2 person teams. Since it is a Friday team workout, partner with someone new. Make a friend! Just because this is a team workout don't be afraid to scale if needed. Egos aren't allowed in the bubble.

The rules, read them carefully:

1) one partner wallballs while the other holds the squat position (hips below knees);

2) to change between tasks the wallballer must squat down and pass the WB to the squatter. Both the wallballer and squatter must be in the squat position when the wallball is passed. Once the WB is passed the original wallballer remains squatting and the original squatter goes and starts wallballing.

3) both team members will stop and perform 5 burpees in the event of the following:

a) the ball touches the ground in any way shape or form;

b) the squatter stands up;

c)  the wallballer stops wallballing for any reason other than to affect the handover of the wallball;

4.  You are imagining this workout correctly if you perceive that:

a) the wallballing should not stop for any reason other than the handover;

b) the squatter should not stand up for any reason. The only person standing at anytime is the wallballer; and

c) communication between the wallballer and squatter is essential to avoid burpees;

OF COURSE PEOPLE WILL BE STANDING WHILE DOING BURPEES , so in essence by the rules, one failure means perpetual burpees.

Excellent point. We will allow a quick moment of immunity upon completion of burpees to resume WB and Squats.

Goodness me. I didn't think was going to be too bad. I reconsidered that assessment after earning Ed and I 30 burpees and crying like a baby a few times. 14.17 I think @ 20.

Tiffany and I were at 13:53 (or was it :23?) with 5 burpees. We used the available 6lb ball so we went to atleast the 10ft line. We've vowed as a team to do it again with the 10lb ball to the 8ft line to compare...but not any time soon.

9:18. Did it as a single after class. Rested in the squat holding the ball. Those last 20 were brutal!
