102511 TUESDAY

All, the Barbell for Boobs organization has re-opened the IMCF link in case anyone still wanted to donate and receive a T-Shirt. It is $35 and for a great cause.

Snatch
7-7-7

The Burgener warmup will help you with establishing the neural pathways you need to perform the snatch.

This is not the WOD we will be putting the class through.

We will go over the WOD starting at 0545.

See you there.

Warmed up with 95lbs

3 x 115 3 x 125
3 x 135 1 x 135(F) 4 x 125
7 x 125

First time doing 135lbs today (PR)

My form was getting better the more tired I became.

Thanks for the help Meg and Chad

Thank you April & Meg for the help! 25 pd bar, w/ 15 pds each side 7-7-7-7.. Getting the form down & increasing weight, thank you again!

35# should probably try more weight. Meg, thanks for the tips!

7 @ 85
7 @ 85
7 @ 65

Not gonna lie... I definitely snatched 65# w/ one hand. The reason I did it 7x with both hands was to work my form. Pretty complex movement to get just right.

Not breathing fire, but form/practice took priority over weight today.

65-85-105. 105 is a PR for snatch. Form felt good. Should be able to push it higher next time. Think I'm gonna work this for skill development and put handstands on the back burner. Nice to see the screaming eagles all over the bubble this morning.

95-115-135. Adding just 10 more lbs to this led to failure...some kind of a mental block which was really frustrating.

If anyone wants a challenge, try one-handed KB overhead squats. Spent some time on that this morning, and recommend it for clearly identifying your core stability and technique deficiencies. Mine are many.

Swam this morning with my group. We did a 200yrd warm up and then 10 minutes for distance. Only got 650yrds in the ten minutes. Upper body was completely fatigued after the first 250yrds. I broke it doen into 200yrds of crawl, 100x breast stroke, 100 crawl, 100 breast stroke, 150 of crawl.

Glad to help when I can! Thanks for the opportunity!
55-65-70. Not a PR but worked on lost form. Thanks for the help, Greg. Hubs goes TDY early tomorrow so I'll see you again in about 2 weeks!

I have the 31 heroes shirts. I will bring them to the bubble friday morning or contact me at james.davis143@us.army.mil for another arrangement.

Bill and Dionne - tell me your sizes and I can drop them at your place.

Worked on bar only stuff today since I have my APFT tomorrow morning. After this weekend, it's nice to be able to coach myself and others through skill progression. I am starting to like lifting more and more each time...

Thought I could start off with 65# today but after two reps my form was horrible so I finished the first set at 55# and bumped up to 60# for the final set... finished off with 50 SU with the AB pad- I was certainly feeling those today!
