FRIDAY 100820

Get some rest, drink some water, show up early, this one will be a doozy.

SSG Joshua Hager, United States Army, was killed Thursday February 22 (2007) in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to Josh's friends and family. Fair Winds, Josh.

10:45 as rx'd. Gotta get better at OHS, specifically maintaining active shoulders.

Was awesome doin the Hero WOD, especially, with the morning crew.

Josh with Olympic Bar and Green Band - 11:50. Focused on form and pacing. OHS was not a problem, Pull-Ups were. Real smoker.

8:20 as Rx'd I was pleased with OHS as I had a mental block about them from the last time I did them in a WOD; that was at the Missouri State Police Complex when we met with the other affiliates; we did Nancy and the OHS wiped me out; today they went very well

It was awesome doing the WOD with so many people; It's equally awesome to see so many posts

21:26 w/ 65# bar.
I really struggled w/ pullups today, and probably should have gone w/ blue band for intensity after the 1st round.

Loved doing it with the group. 11.23 rxed. Interesting to see strengths and weaknesses at play - Neil and I changed places on the leader boards going between OHS and pullups.

6:35 and I struggled with the pull ups more than the OHSs, however it's been a while since the last time I did intense OHSs.

Hit this in the pm with Adam and Jimmy. Adam, again, set the standard for our small group. 10:35 as RX'd was my effort. Pullups were the weak link. I agree with Phil, forearms...ouch.

9:50 rxd ohs unbroken, pull ups, well, fractured

Scaled down to 65# and 21-15-9 for both OHS and pullups (vice 42-30-18 for pullups)

Time 23:39

Ended up doing just the 45# bar to work on technique and mechanics. OHS still a challenge but felt like I had good lumbar curve and technique with lower weight.

Happy with unbroken OHS sets. Time suffered from bad pull up bars.
