"McGhee"

Corporal Ryan C. McGhee, 21, was killed in action on May 13, 2009 by small arms fire during combat in central Iraq. He served with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment of Fort Benning, Ga. This was his fourth deployment, his first to Iraq. Ryan was engaged to Ashleigh Mitchell of Fredericksburg, VA. He is survived by his father Steven McGhee of Myrtle Beach S.C., his mother Sherrie Battle McGhee, and his brother Zachary.

As many rounds as possible (AMRAP) in 30 minutes of:
5 Deadlifts (275#/225#)
13 pullups
9 box jumps (24")

Scale as appropriate. Post number of rounds to comments.

Scaled Deadlift to 225# and it was still tough.

10rds + 5 DLs.

On a different note - the original "McGhee" was 5 DLs, 13 Pushups, and 9 box jumps. Pullups was a challenging alternative.

I felt the pull up mojo in the middle rounds and was pretty happy....then it left and I was sad

Did the 225 version. 10 rds and 2 deads. I thought I felt sorry for myself, then I looked at CL doing the 275 version- that made me feel sorry for him!

this totally sucked way worse than I thought it would.

5 rnds as Rxd, then 4 rnds @ 225. Had about a minute left to knock out a few more deadlifts but couldn't find the motivation to start a round I knew I wouldn't finish

5 rounds at 235# (new PR over 225#)

pullups scaled to green bands thru 3rd round, then scaled again to ring pullups

I used the 20in box also

DL WU 10x45, 2x225

then as rx'd to round 6(@~14mins), changed to pushups
Total=9 rounds + 5 DLs & 13 pushups

Did 1 round as RXd, then scaled to 225. 11 rounds + 2 deadlifts.
