MONDAY 100315

"Death By Pull-Ups"

Do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute.... Continue this pattern until you can no longer complete the required number of pull-ups in a minute.

Record the number of minutes of successfully completed rounds.

I completed the round of 16. Even with wraps my hands are toast. I should have done something about my calluses last night. At least I don't have that to worry about.

Completed 17 rounds. Got 12 on 18th round. Did first 10 rounds with no kipping, that may have hurt me later on.

Subbed burpees b/c I'm not around a pullup bar. Completed 14 rds.
Did the pose drills from last week's class. Only got a few weird looks from neighbors.

Completed 15 rounds and 10 into the 16th.

Did a 3 mi run and 50 push ups. Don't think the neighbors noticed me at all.

Completed 12 rounds and got 10 on 13, but the bar we were using at the local park was about 6 inches too low -- my feet were scraping the ground and it was hard to maintain a rhythm and not get redwood mulch in my socks (I know - no excuse).

Did jumping pull-ups from round 14 through 20 get a full 20 minutes in.

completed 10 rounds on low, skinny substitute for a pullup bar! Great times!

Stopped at 12 rounds. Lat time made 17 rounds. Too much chalk was threatening to rip the calluses. Need to pack a small brush to clean the bars of chalk when done.

made this up this morning,
made it through 12, but only got 8 in rd 13.
kipped the whole way through. It felt better and I was able to string up to 6 together, started to hit muscle failure at rd 10

Completed Tuesday 100316-- a day behind; will do 10K on Saturday

Did 3 rounds scaled using heavier green bands
Did rounds 3-13 scaled ring dip pullups

Pullups not my strength but making progress
I hope to get to unassisted pullups soon.

8. I had backed off of pullups in my warmups in favor of new exercises, so I have lost some of the progress I had made.
