-Did this one the other day. Tough workout.

Results:
M/34/5′9″/227
23:54 as prescribed.

-A mitigating factor regarding my time: I did defend the small group of Crossfitters that were conducting the WOD from idiots concerned about us dropping the weights and “ruining the floor” on two occasions mid-WOD. As I explained to one individual, “…if the Army didn’t want us to drop the weights, they wouldn’t have bought several thousand dollars worth of Olympic bumper plates.” I also informed him that the gym staff was fully aware of our activity (as was BG Cardone) and none of them seemed to have an issue…at which point he headed up to the front desk….and never returned.

-After DT on Tuesday, Helen on Wednesday and then the Catalyst Athletic WOD I did on Thursday, I think I'll just swim on Friday.

-Dave, good meeting you in the gym. I like the shirts...glad to see that you didn't go for some goofy-a$$ "Ed Hardy" or "Afflication" looking thing. I voted for the XL, although, I think you need to offer XXLs for us "big-boned" types.

Cheers!

I did DT along with the main site program as well. Scaled to 80% 125lbs 19:47. Smoker for the traps & forearms. Day off today, might do some snatch work.

FYI: Spoke with LTC Stoud, CAC STRATCOM yesterday. Gave him an update on CF initiatives here, including this site & blog. He mentioned that some folks are coming here from West Point next month to evaluate our fitness facilities. Don't know what's behind the visit, but LTC Stroud said they are going to help us ID shortcomings. Stand by for more info on how you might help.

Spoke to BG Cardon yesterday, asked him if he was interested and available to attend the May Cert. He is interested, and promised to get back to me soon.

Talked with Aaron Jones, Gruber Gym Manager yesterday about fitness center improvements. He is getting direction form MWR to look at expanding to Harney. Stop and listen to his ideas when you pass through Gruber.

Yesterday morning I sat in on a meeting with Major Dave Maxwell, 09-02 and Mr Bob Ulin of the CGSC Foundation. Dave is exploring paths of mutual support between CF Iron Major and the Foundation. Lots of good discussion. Good initiative, Dave! If anyone has any ideas, sound off.

So, now we can add Foundation to the "F's" that CF Iron Major supports: Fitness, family, fun, and foundation. When you get the opportunity to talk up the program, make these connections, it's powerful! There are lots of fitness initiatives going on around post, but none that make these connections as well as the one we have going here.
Have a great weekend!

Needed to scale this. HPCLs are my big weakness. Probably should have set up 2 bars and done the DLs as Rx'd

DL @ 135
HPCLN and PJs @ 115
